Program Note:

​

String Quartet for is a guided improvisation that generates oblique, four-part counterpoint through a meditative process. The piece was originally conceived for a two-part performance, String Quartet for piano, and the following day, String Quartet for wood objects, at Comfort Station, to celebrate and memorialize the last performances on their damaged instrument.
